900 MHz Reconfiguration

Wireless Knowledge In Your 900 MHz Relocation Or Leasing Negotiation

Numerous 900 MHz Business and Industrial licensees are now engaging in relocation or leasing negotiations with Anterix. With the FCC’s recent release of its Report & Order regarding the band, many of the lingering questions have been answered. However, these negotiations can be difficult, particularly when there is equipment to be replaced.

Alan Tilles has engaged in hundreds of these negotiations. From the original 800 MHz SMR relocations, through the 800 MHz Public Safety Rebanding negotiations, Alan has represented public safety, transportation and business licensees in ensuring that their interests are protected and that narrowband licensees can enjoy the full benefit of their bargain.

A small sampling of public safety and transportation licensees which Alan has represented in these negotiations include: Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, and Maricopa Counties, the Cities of Phoenix, Mesa, and Newport News, and the States of Washington, Alabama, and Kansas.

Alan has extensive experience in the radio propagation area of wireless radio regulation. Alan’s representation includes site owners, tower owners, tower leaseholders and manufacturers of antennas and antenna systems.

Alan’s training includes his B.A. in Radio/TV/Film from the University of Maryland and his subsequent courses in RF For Non-Engineers and Fundamentals of RF Radiation. During his stint as a Member of the Board of Trustees of Capitol Technology University, as counsel to the Radio Club of America, as a contractor for the Transportation Research Board, and as a presenter on numerous topics at the International Wireless Communications Expo for over twenty years, Alan has been at the forefront of wireless education.

With this background and training, Alan brings to bear a true understanding of the wireless site leasing space.

“Alan and his staff provided unparalleled legal representation for Mobile County. We would have been taken advantage of had it not been for the persistence, experience and knowledge base that the firm brought to the table.”

Eric Linsley – Mobile County, Alabama
